Job Description:

  • Senior technical representative on the team and collaborate with Program Management in the execution of one or more GPS Multi Antenna Element Receiver programs for High Anti-Jam Projectile applications
  • Interact with the Business Development and Engineering teams to ensure the work output is consistent with business needs and compliant with development practices
  • Manage the execution of a multi-discipline, large development team including major subcontractors and contract manufacturers to achieve the defined technical program objectives while managing and controlling the schedule and cost
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight to proposal activities for new related business opportunities
  • Document and present papers of the teams’ work products that allow others to leverage the work in other business areas
  • Work through the functional organizations to properly staff and project future staffing requirements based on the current programs’ work and future related business opportunities
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts, Chief Engineers, and Business Development to identify future business opportunities & gaps to meeting those opportunities, and execute IR&D projects to close the gaps and develop the next generation of GPS & Multi-GNSS AJ products

Essential Functions:

  • Secret Clearance (Interim acceptable to start), ability to travel (<25%), working extended hours on occasion
  • Day to day management of technical aspects of the project, including cross-functional decision making, and risk management activities.
  • Definition of task scope and job cost estimation (as documented in the Project Plan and presented at the Project Plan Gate Review)
  • Management of interpersonal team relations within the project
  • Obtaining adequate staffing from functional management
  • Identifying priority issues for Engineering staffing & other resources affecting the project
  • Meeting Engineering scheduled milestone goals
  • Keeping costs within the dictated budget, oversight of Estimate to Complete activities, and identifying to the Program Manager any cost growth and reasons for growth
  • Coordinate Production transition/hand off to Operations and Quality efforts (in/out of house)
  • Manage and track the Job Documentation List – item completion and day to day status delegation
  • Primary responsibility for Engineering Project Status (i.e. hot list, POC support, PIR, etc…)
  • Earned Value variance analysis of Engineering Tasks
  • Document/present papers of the team’s work products allowing others to leverage the work in other business areas
  • Drive process changes into the organization to improve overall effectiveness on future developments
  • Provide recommendations on investments to improve operational efficiencies in the engineering organization

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience.  Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.  In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related expereience.
  • Active Secret Clearance is required, Interim acceptable

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Mastery level knowledge within a specific technical area or multiple job areas typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience
  • MS Office skills including Teams and Project
  • Exceptional presentation, written, and oral communication skills required
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with technical and non-technical staff, customers, and subcontractors is required
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal direction and guidance
  • Less than 25% Travel

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $150,000 - $278,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
