Job Description:
Under the general direction of the Production Manager, will review shortages, track incoming material and report on status, and supply inputs to the master schedule. Will expedite material through receiving, inspection and stock to the line. Will assist in maintaining inventory transactions and will work closely with stock personnel. Control the release of MOs complete with the documentation packages, maintain serialization logs, and scan and maintain complete build packages. Will assist with administrative functions of planning, including BOM set-ups, job releasing and shop floor paperwork creation.
Essential Functions:
- Perform critical path analysis to identify and mitigate delays that could impact production schedules
- Analyze material configuration and job order status using Windows-based computer systems and software
- Coordinate and negotiate workflow through multiple work centers via various functional organizations to secure needed resources while ensuring changing customer demands, and schedule deadlines are met.
- Perform detailed schedule, risk, and continuous improvement-based analysis to identify, develop, and drive solutions
- Track assigned products throughout the production process, including providing Master Schedule weekly updates, Capability Model updates, status of WIP.
- Evaluating Sales Orders to create robust production schedules, generate and release manufacturing orders.
- Work cross-functionally with Mfg. Engineering, Leadership, Material management and Program Management to monitor the production schedule; Identify any risk production, material and quality delays impacting customer contractual deliveries.
- Forecast the amount of material required and assist in the forecasting of equipment and labor required for production.
- Promptly addressing and resolving production issues to minimize delays in production. Participate in MRB and technical discussions.
- Help Coordinate production operations in accordance with material, labor and equipment availability.
- Control the release of Production Routers.
- Maintain a complete Product Serialization log to enable efficient trend analysis in the event of problems due to document changes, process changes, second source evaluations, etc.
- Maintain product as-built configuration during build, including document changes and redlines.
- Create an as-built configuration database for each product configuration that is manufactured.
- Compile system test data logs and files into a database for future analyses.
- Assist in Bill of Material input/transfer from various sources including, spreadsheets, and CostPoint.
- Generate material requisitions and assist Purchasing in PO generation within CostPoint.
- Create databases for evaluating trend analyses using test results from completed assemblies.
- Assist Configuration Management with documentation control and routing of document updates between subcontractors and vendors.
- Promote cordial relationships and foster and maintain a favorable business profile with customers, vendors, co-workers, other professionals, government agencies, industry and professional associations and the local community.
Job Qualification Requirements:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience in manufacturing, inventory tracking in a production environment, or other highly schedule-based environment
- Experience in project or program execution techniques
- Experience with Excel, SAP or other ERP/MRP systems
- Interpret basic engineering instructions and drawings
Pay Transparency:
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $61,000 - $113,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
