Job Description:

Under the general direction of the Planning Manager and Sr. Planners for the program, will review shortages, track incoming material and report on status, and update the tracker, schedule, and GEMBA boards. Will prioritize materials through receiving inspection and stockroom for urgent requests.  Will respond to Production material requests by creating reservations and 2nd picks, monitoring and following up with the stockroom personnel as needed.  Release manufacturing orders (MO’s) with the required documentation and track their progress to avoid delays.  Perform tasks required by non-conforming materials reports (NCMR’s), such as MO’s to facilitate RTV’s (Return to Vendor) or rework, Scrap Tags, or Reservations to pull replacement materials.

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Respond to Production requests for materials and follow up on their delivery
  • Release manufacturing orders (MO’s) for kitting by the stockroom and track their progress
  • Manage non-conforming materials reports (NCMR’s) but performing required tasks such as creating rework MO’s, reservations, scrap tag requests, etc.
  • Update materials’ status on tracker, schedule, and Gemba boards.

 

Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Experience with Excel, SAP or other ERP/MRP systems

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in manufacturing, inventory tracking in a production environment, or other highly schedule-based environment
  • APICS classes or certification

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $52,000- $97,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
