Job Description:
The Lead, Contracts will provide contractual guidance/direction as it relates to the execution of company programs, business development, and day-to-day operations. This role will oversee and execute contracts and support compliance with FAR, DFAR, and all applicable contract documents.
Essential Functions:
- Preparation, negotiation, acceptance and management of contracts including time and materials, firm-fixed price, fixed price incentive fee, and cost reimbursement.
- Provide contractual advice and guidance and work cooperatively with a multitude of organizations ranging from technical, program office, finance, pricing and security for seamless contract administration.
- Provide knowledge of applicable government regulations in the execution of business activity. Serve as advisor and make recommendations as needed on contractual, proposal and business matters.
- Support proposal efforts including review of contract provisions and review of proposal response.
- Conduct negotiation activity and settlement of provisions, producing sound contract terms and conditions, teaming agreements, contract amendments/modifications, which mitigate/minimize company risk and support company goals.
- Comply with procedures and systems necessary to afford adequate contract controls and services, including contract records management and reporting.
- Coordinate all essential activity with legal Counsel and obtain necessary approvals for proposal submittals, contract negotiation, award, execution, and close-out.
- Work with business development and program departments to support current and future business needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
- At least 9 years of experience managing contracts in the DoD space.
- Proficient computer skills, working knowledge of standard computer products and devices including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), the Internet and the ability to comprehend and learn new software.
- Ability to identify and analyze problems; use sound reasoning to reach conclusions; find alternatives.
- Advanced working knowledge of FAR / DFAR and UCC, ITAR and general law.
- Ability to speak, read, write and spell English well and have strong oral and written communication skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills; ability to perform multi-faceted projects in conjunction with normal activities.
- Well organized; consistently maintains a high level of productivity; ability to manage priorities; high degree of flexibility; ability to meet deadlines; multi-task oriented; pays attention to detail.
- This position will require the individual to be a U.S. citizen and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Active Secret clearance.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $108,000 - $201,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
