Job Description:

·         Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Ability to collect, analyze and decipher recorded test data.
  • Create, revise, and maintain test plans, procedures, & reports for Qualification & Production programs.
  • Run & Program Electrodynamic vibration shakers and thermal chambers.
  • Manage and execute qualification test programs
  • Write, maintain, and execute Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) on a wide variety of electromechanic systems.
  • Execute Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) on a wide variety of electromechanic systems.
  • Perform troubleshooting on top level and component level units.
  • Assist other engineers perform engineering test & evaluations (ET&E) for R&D and production programs.
  • Provide feedback to test engineers to improve test processes/methodologies.
  • Observe industry best practices for FOD, ESD, and material handling controls.

 

Qualifications:

 

·         Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of  4 years of prior related experience. 

      Graduate Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. 

       In lieu of a degree,minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

 

  • Working knowledge of Vibration & Thermal test testing and programming.
  • Experience with hand & power tools.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint.)
  •  Excellent written and oral communication skills.

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in the NYC areas is Min $88,500.00 - $164,500.00 Max.  The salary range for this role in New York state is $76,500.00 Min - $142,500.00 Max. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
