Job Description:

This individual contributes to the company’s success by interfacing with multiple departments and organizations and is primarily responsible for ensuring project deliverables are completed on schedule.

Communicate, coordinate, and negotiate workflow through multiple work centers and functional organizations to secure needed resources while ensuring customer demands and schedule deadlines are met.
Assist the production floor in resolving production issues.
Expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.
Monitor order status, including material status, WIP area management, location accuracy, inventory discrepancies, manufacturing and program support, and overall communication support.
Ensure availability of materials to meet production requirements and delivery commitments; assist with resolving material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions.
Ensure all MRP planning data is maintained on a regular basis (e.g., lead times, lot sizes, inventory transfers, and policy codes). Perform accurate and complete maintenance transactions in the MRP system for all purchasing and planning functions.
Plan, coordinate, and expedite detailed part schedules in compliance with Master Schedule requirements or as otherwise directed.
Effectively communicate detailed schedule updates to stakeholders, department leads, production management, and executive management.

Essential Functions:

Using the MRP system, create, schedule, adjust, and release manufacturing orders for multi‑level products.
Analyze parts availability and coordinate with Supply Chain to expedite items required to release manufacturing orders.
Work with Manufacturing Engineering to maintain up‑to‑date lead times, lot sizes, and estimated labor and setup hours for finished goods.
Track production operations to ensure on‑time completion; expedite materials, parts, and assemblies as needed in accordance with production and shipping schedules.
Implement planned production schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirements.
Review schedules to determine materials and parts requirements and ensure materials are available when needed.
Coordinate with the stockroom and shop floor to resolve known and unknown material shortages.
Assist senior planners with daily tasks and documentation.

Qualifications:

Requires developing job knowledge and skills. High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience, or 2 years post‑secondary/Associate’s Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Ability to obtain US Security Clearance
Experience in manufacturing, production, or another highly schedule‑driven environment
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and help develop solutions to complex problems
Ability to analyze material configuration and job order status using Windows‑based systems and software
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint)
Experience with ERP/MRP systems

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $18.99/hr - $35.34/hr. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is $17.75/hr - $30.53/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
