Job Description:

  • Test and troubleshoot micro-electronics RF subsystems and circuits in compliance with MIL-STD-883.
  • Perform precise alignment and calibration of RF circuits and systems.
  • Operate and maintain RF test equipment, such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power meters.
  • Interpret and follow technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Document test results, maintenance logs, and failure reports.
  • Support engineering in the design and development of new RF products.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Work in a clean-room environment. 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Troubleshooting RF/Analog hardware using legacy and state-of-the-art test equipment
  • Solid understanding of RF theory and principles.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Experience with surface-mount technology (SMT) components.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Work closely with peers and Test Engineers.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Work with MS Office Word and Excel applications in support of test / test issues.
  • Utilize test software tools such as MATLAB and LabVIEW

 

Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Capable of obtaining a Secret Clearance

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • 5 years of experience working with RF components and systems.
  • Solid understanding of RF theory and principles.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Proficient in using RF test equipment and tools.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-883 testing and requirements.
  • Experience with surface-mount technology (SMT) components.
  • Certification in IPC J-STD-001 or IPC-A-610.
  • Working knowledge of the Keysight PNAx or similar network analyzer
  • Experience with automated RF test systems and software.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and standards, such as ISO 9001.

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York is $26.44/hr- $49.27/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
