Job Description:

 

Coordinates efforts/monitors/improves aerospace program product yield (and other manufacturing metrics). This role creates and modifies procedures and/or controls ensuring product conformance to regulatory, customer, and company requirements.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Perform product containment actions, root cause investigations, corrective and preventive actions on non-conformances for customer returns, and /or production quality internal and external escapes.
  • Review, identify, implement and maintain Customer Quality flow down requirements
  • Support needed actions to support continued AS9100 certification and maintenance.
  • Provides liaison activities with customers, suppliers, and Integrated Product Team members on all quality-related activities.
  • Perform product quality audits to assure compliance with customer, drawing, internal, and regulatory requirements
  • Perform system audits in support of the Quality Management System
  • Perform review of customer quality clauses, quality documents and provide compliance matrix
  • Support Operations to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system
  • Review trend analyses related to field returns, manufacturing rejects, supplier history, etc., and provide and/or complete recommendations for improvement
  • Support development/management of data and metrics using Data Visualization tools (Power BI)
  • Responsible for participating in continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen, lean methods, mistake-proofing, etc
  • Responsible for performing job duties in a manner consistent with established L3Harris Ethics Standards. Responsible for working in a manner consistent with established safety rules and regulations
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

  • Knowledgeable of concepts, practices, policies/procedures in engineering
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills. Excellent team player with ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
  • Interact effectively with management, peers, and other employees relative to quality and technical issues.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in Aerospace/Defense parts manufacturing or Automotive parts manufacturing
