Job Description:

 

L3Harris is looking for a highly motivated candidate to fulfill the role of Principal, Business Development. This role is a senior level key stakeholder in the development and execution of L3Harris Communications System’s annual operating and strategic growth plan. The individual will be responsible for capturing current business and the identification of new business opportunities within the Army tactical communications market. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Army executive agencies to including C2-CFT, ACM-TR, PEO C3N, PEO IEW&S and PEO Soldier. Experience with the National Guard, Reserve and Active Army units a plus. This position reports to the Director of Army Tactical Communications Business within the Communications Systems business segment.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Meet and exceed annual operating plan.
  • Identify and lead the capture of new business
  • Support the segment’s strategic growth planning (SGP) and annual operating plan (AOP) processes.
  • Develop and brief annual capture plan to the business; secure resources to achieve plan.
  • Develop and present executive level briefings and presentations on business cases that support growth in existing and new markets.
  • Work closely with the cross functional team of account managers, program management, product line management, engineering and other core functional leaders across the segment and corporate organizational structure.
  • Understand Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) objectives with strong understanding of associated requirements.
  • Know tactical waveforms and communications requirements for the U.S. Army customer.
  • Possess strong communication, presentation, negotiation, collaboration and cross functional leadership skills.
  • In depth knowledge of DoD requirements and acquisition processes.
  • Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.
  • Travel approximately 25%

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree with 12 years prior experience, Graduate Degree with 10 years prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.

  • Prior military service
  • In depth knowledge of tactical waveforms
  • Capture planning experience
  • In depth knowledge of DoD requirements and acquisition processes.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is $124,000 -  $231,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
